Fund Breakthrough Water Purification Research

Chemical-free water treatment for 2+ billion people without safe drinking water

"We're not improving existing technologyβ€”we're replacing it. Ward Effect Technology uses controlled cavitation to eliminate pathogens without chemicals. Once proven at scale, all water purification applications will be released as open source."

This is paradigm-shift research, not incremental improvement. Your donation funds autonomous teams of enthusiastic researchers in Tacloban, Philippines, working on applications that traditional science said were impossible.

πŸ’‘ Why This Is More Achievable Than You Think
Ward Effect Technology is approximately 30 times easier to develop than WardScope spectrum analyzer software. We've already solved the hard problems: dual processing architecture (microprocessor handles audio and memory, phone/PC handles display), resonance lock feedback, and acoustic coupling. The remaining challenges are manufacturing and deployment, not fundamental physics.

⚠️ Critical Transparency: The 10% Reality

We are entering unknown territory. This is breakthrough research with high risk and transformative potential.

10%
Success Rate Per Application
Each Ward Effect application (biofilm detection, marine anti-fouling, water purification, etc.) has approximately a 10% chance of working as intended.
20+
Applications Being Pursued
We're pursuing 20+ different applications simultaneously. Some will work flawlessly. Others will fail or be developed outside the research center.
90%
Teams Will "Fail" Their Targets
We expect 90% of research teams won't achieve their original objective. But their failures eliminate dead-ends and guide the 10% who succeed.

Why This Is Actually Good:
Traditional R&D demands 80%+ success rates, which means only incremental improvements get funded. We embrace 90% failure because that's how paradigm shifts happen. The 10% who succeed will more than compensate for the 90% who learned what doesn't work.

What You're Funding:
Autonomous teams of enthusiastic non-experts trying unconventional approaches. We actively avoid highly educated researchers because they learned methods that have already failed 2 billion people. We need people who don't know what's "supposed" to be impossible.

If you want guaranteed ROI, this is not for you.
If you want to fund shots at revolutionary breakthroughs, welcome aboard.

🎯 Projects to Fund

Planned Developments

πŸ“œ
Phase One: Patents & Administration β€” ~$32K
Convert provisional patents to full patents (~$20K). Employ office person for anticipated administration (salary $7K). Office setup with computer etc ($5K).
🚰
Phase Two: Tacloban Drain Cleaning Project β€” ~$100K
The Problem: Most drains in Tacloban are loaded with silt, making the drainage system ineffective. This results in flooding and mosquito breeding grounds leading to dengue fever β€” a worldwide problem.

The Solution: Develop a low-cost method to clean drains using homemade excavators that fit into drains, a trommel, and a pump to move silt. The Ward Effect is modified to measure and control the composition of the pump so it efficiently moves silt.

Target: $1.00 per cubic metre (AI estimates $0.50).
Aim: Optimise the system, then make all plans open source.
πŸͺ£
The $5 Bucket Challenge
Design a bucket where dirty water is placed, pathogens are killed via controlled cavitation, and sediments precipitate out. Target cost: $5 per unit for developing countries.
πŸ§ͺ
Chemical Removal
Removing harmful chemicals from water. Cavitation handles pathogens; need complementary approach for chemical contaminants (arsenic, fluoride, heavy metals).
πŸ“œ
Cheap Transducers on a Roll
Developing low-cost transducers manufactured as a roll of plastic film. Allows developing countries to cut and assemble devices from rolls, eliminating expensive imports.
♻️
Repurposing Mass-Produced Items
Priority: identify existing mass-produced products we can repurpose. Using $0.50 components from global supply chains beats designing custom $5 components from scratch.

Dual Processing Architecture (Already Solved):
Microprocessor handles audio processing and memory management. Phone or PC handles display and user interface. This splits the workload and uses devices people already own, dramatically reducing cost.
